Don't be Naughty. Don't show you're Young

The Danish police right now are hunting Danish youngsters down to the age of 12-13 years around the streets in the interior of Copenhagen. Arrests have been made in the hundreds. Their crime: Staying in a building that the municipality of Copenhagen gave them in the 1990's! The city later regretted the donation and sold the building to a fanatical Christian sects that want to hold prayer meetings and religious raves in this historical place that belonged to the Copenhagen workers' movement. But nothing seems to be "holy" in this city that goes out of its way to evict young people and let new age religion in instead. The sect has even got permission to tear down the old house!

Here is what the young squatters have written:
Ungdomshuset is evicted, we are now setting up infopoints to help activists with practical advice such as how to get around, where to sleep and find communal kitchens. The infopoints can be contacted on the following numbers:(+45) 26 90 75 07 and (+45) 26 90 75 08Folkets Hus (people's house in Stengade 50, Nørrebro) is now open day and night, and is used as a meeting point. link to jagtvej69.dk
House equity Denmark ought to be grateful. The young people have given it top entertainment in prime time TV when people sit sipping coffee in front of their newly purchased broad screen TVs. Congratulations Denmark for your warmth of heart and your tolerance!

You are incredible. The young extremists attack not only the police but journalists and paramedics(?) as well!

Furthermore they stole bikes and other posessions from the poeple of Nørrebro and burned it!

The young people stole a house rightfully belonging to a religious minority (this is what the curts ruled)

And they attack the police and turn an entire block into a warzone.

I'm not blaming the police. They,re just doing a job. I'm blaming the humourless politicians who are ordering them to do the job. Closing down a vibrant cultural centre is a crime.

You depict the young extremists groups as being innocent but you forget to add a few "minor" details such as riots, arson and organized attacks against the police.

The young violent groups had the opportunity for a new house. Provided by the city and payed for by fonden Jagtvej. But beacuse of their rigid stance of only paying 1 kr. a legal and political solution was made impossible.

Fact: the present youth house belongs to Faderhuset

It isnt relevant if you like them or not, the courts have ruled in their favor and they are the rightfull owners.

Fact: It was possible to get a new Youth house, but beacuse of the young violent extremists kept insisting on more and more special demands it was not possible for the politicans to legally provide them with the new building.

The dumb spoiled youth groups dont know anything about sunk-costs. But it they did they would have known that the present youth house is gone and the only possibilty for a new one was to have fonden jagtvej pay for their new house.

Now they are left with nothing, and riots and fire is their solution. Since you are one of their useful idiots why dont you offer your place as a center for them. Or better yet why dont invite them over for a cosy fire!

I fully condemn the riots. In my mind this is not about the riots. Who can be responsible for some reckless elements? There are many good people involved in Ungdomshuset, and it's a pity they've been evicted from the house in return for a fanatical sect of new age Christians.

It does tell you something about it being a little rotten in the state of Denmark that there's no room for young people. The council of Copenhagen is ready to pay 100 million crowns a year to the running of the Opera that Denmark's richest man donated to the city. But they cannot pay a few millions to some alternative art. It stinks a bit in my mind!

And the "good people" had aquired molotov cocktails, rocks and a flamethrower!

"and it's a pity they've been evicted from the house in return for a fanatical sect of new age Christians."

I am an ateist and dont give a shit about religion. But it is not relevant if the rightfully owners are members of a sect, clowns, muslims, or midgets. The only thing that is relevant is that the court has ruled Faderhuset to be the owner.

Hahahaa it is indeed a telling sign that the narcissistic users have envolved from marxists to spoiled kids who demand their own house wich they can do with as they please but still want others to pay for it. Talk about the CURLING-GENERATION!

It's a small minority that are violent. Don't judge all of them!

As for private property. Shouldn't the police respect private property when they break into people's houses without a warrant?
